Music makes the world go ‘round, and here at LiftMaster we can appreciate good music. This is why we launched the LiftMaster Garage Band Competition last year to find the next great band needing its shot at the big time. With our 2016 Garage Band Competition up-and-running, we wanted to share with you more information about last year’s winner, Nashville Crush.

Here is their Built in My Garage story:

“The band, when it really started, is kind of a garage band story. We were all getting together and doing different things to try and get the pieces right for, ya know, the country thing. And we were actually going to Nate’s house and rehearsing in his garage to try to get this tuned in.

How long were we practicing? We got together, it’s been about seven years ago now, and we decided right off the get go, cause we had all been in bar bands, that we didn’t just want to be in your typical bar band anymore. We wanted to do something to where we didn’t have to be done at 2:30 in the morning, and get home at 5:00 in the morning every weekend.

So we decided we wanted to try and put together a festival band, so we practiced, we like woodshedded for about nine, eight to nine months before we actually even started playing out. And we had great opportunities. We went down to Nashville, and recorded our first EP.”
