About the Tucson Classic

The Tucson Classic is an Official PGA TOUR Champions event hosted by the Tucson Conquistadores in Tucson, AZ. The Conquistadores are celebrating their 3rd year hosting the classic which raises money for youth athletic programs in Southern Arizona.

It’s estimated that 500-600 veterans and their families will obtain tickets to the event. The ticket provides them with access to the course as well as the Patriots Outpost tent located on the 16th hole. The tent offers a place to cool off in the shade as well as complimentary refreshments.

The weekend will offer a variety of activities, the highlight being the Champions Tour teeing off on Friday, March 17th. Military service members can find information about reserving their complimentary tickets here:

About Birdies for the Brave

Birdies for the Brave was originally founded in 2006 by PGA TOUR player, Phil Mickelson, and his wife, Amy. Initially designed to support combat-wounded veterans, the program has since been expanded to include a variety of military outreach and appreciation events due to its adoption by the PGA TOUR.
Birdies for the Brave have raised over $17 million for non-profit military homefront groups that are supported by PGA TOUR players. The groups provide direct support to military members, veterans, and their families ranging from financial aid, rehabilitation services, counseling and housing to educational scholarships and career development. http://birdiesforthebrave.org/
