Recently, members of the LiftMaster family donated their time and volunteered for Feed My Starving Children (FMSC).

Twenty-four employees spent the day working directly with the local FMSC by packing meals for malnourished children.

After visiting the Schaumburg facilities of FMSC back in December, LiftMaster Commercial Door Operator marketing team wanted to help. They reached out to FMSC about automating the doors at their facility. The LiftMaster Commercial Opener team then partnered with the director at the Schaumburg location to setup the product and schedule the installation.

LiftMaster installed a Logic 5.0 Commercial Door Operator with MyQ as well as the latest UL-325 Certified safety devices to ensure safety of employees of FMSC as well as thousands of volunteers who visit the facility annually.

When our friends at C.H.I. Overhead Doors heard about this initiative, they wanted to help out as well, donating several fire doors to compliment LiftMaster operators at FMSC Schaumburg facility. Once the installation was complete by local dealer A.S.A.P. Garage Door Repair, Inc., members of the LiftMaster marketing team spent the remainder of the day packing meals.

“Feed My Starving Children is so grateful for the new automatic overhead doors that were donated to us by LiftMaster,” said FMSC Site Supervisor Josh Rockett.

“Our old doors would break frequently and presented a possible hazard to both volunteers and staff. The automatic doors donated by LiftMaster have made both the staff safer and provided extra safety in case of a fire to our volunteers. They have also increased efficiency and provided us a savings of thousands of dollars which translates into thousands of meals.

“We are also thankful for the LiftMaster employees donating their time to package lifesaving meals for undernourished children around the world. The partnership Feed My Starving Children has with LiftMaster has truly been a blessing.”

This was the second time LiftMaster employees have come out to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children in the past several months. Check out our Facebook page to see photos from our previous visit.
